The renderings above feature a new trellis that was completed a few years ago, allowing guests to enjoy full sun areas or relax in the shade as you while away the day, poolside at Desert Hills.

In May 2019, Desert Hills was acquired by new owners, who in addition to owning The Hideaway (another Herbert Burns designed mid-century landmark hotel in Palm Springs), have an unwavering commitment to mid-century architectural preservation and a long-term vision for new upgrades and amenities that will complement the long established history of the property.

In December 2019, two new “model” rooms will debut at Desert Hills, called Mod Kitchenettes. Each of the Mod Kitchenettes feature brand new bathrooms, new kitchenettes and either a FireOrb fireplace or a 6’ Kohler Spa Tub (in additional to a full shower).

As of November 2019, all rooms and suites feature brand new king beds (featuring conductive Aloe Vera pillow top mattresses for a cool night’s sleep) and new linens throughout.
